Loch Meig

Loch Meig produces some fine trout.

Neal Drummond has been in action again on Loch Meig and although no fish of the 8 lb class that Neal caught last year were caught, Neal and the club chairman managed to bag up with 10 fish today, Sunday 16th August. Best fish went to Neal at 2lb 8oz, smallest at just over the 1lb mark. Total weight for the 10 fish was 15lb 12oz. All fish in superb condition. An intermediate line was the order of the day with fish coming to JC Bibio, Bibio Sedgehog and Black Snatcher. The weather was a bit mixed, a mild westerly wind, fresh at times, sunny intervals and the odd rain shower thrown in. Fish were taking steadily all day but seemed to "go off" in the late afternoon. Neal says he can't wait to get back to try his luck again.
