Posted by lewis ross on 24 October 2009 Blackwater is best by far I now live in Alberta,Canada but this river is home to me.I was fortunate to fish this most beautiful river in Scotland when i returned home to Strathpeffer in August. The day i fished was perfect, after a dozen casts i was lucky enough to hook and land a healthy grilse.A great day was had on the Blackwater.Cheers Dave MacGregor hope you are doing good, great website for the club. Posted by Marcus Ross on 30 September 2009 Tor Achilty counter Tues 4th Aug @ 14.30 - 400 fish of countable size had passed through. Thurs 6th Aug @ 14.30 - 416 fish had passed through. Another note:- the 10 day bonanza that Dingwall A.A are having with several good salmon and some sea trout from the bidge @ Conon Bridge, seems to be slowing down. Posted by S Smith on 06 August 2009 From what I can gather the Dingwall AA water in Conon have had since last Monday(27th July) - 19 Salmon of varying sizes 5lb - 11lb+. Posted by on 07 August 2009 Counter now sitting @ 555 on Tuesday 11th Aug, but now't being caught on beats 1 or 2! Posted by on 12 August 2009 membership Could you please tell me what are the benefits of being in the club excepting the use of Club permit for either free or reduced rates? how does one know what activities are going on?? eg the competition on the Meig lately, and I have heard (Not via the Club)there is a competition against Dingwall this week end?? I have looked a the competition link and do not see this advertised, perhaps I am looking in the wrong place, but please if one is in a club , how does one feel that you belong?? Posted by brenda mcgregor on 24 June 2009 Hi Brenda sounds like you have missed some of the mailing from the club. I have spoken to the secretary who will update you on all of these things. Our apologies for this. Roddy Fisher. Press Officer. Posted by roddy on 21 July 2009 C an you add me to the mailing list too ? as I have never received any information from the club! I keep checking the web site for updates however it never seems to be updated ! Posted by Liath Morrison on 27 July 2009 Update. I've just come back from a look at both rivers. There are several salmon resting at the bottom of Rogie Falls (polarised glasses are great, and a scrabmle down to the waters edge). although the waters low, stil enough to get them to run the ladder. @ Loch Achonachie the counter is at 86 (24/6/09 - 13.00) and I even seen 2 cruising along the lenght of the dam wall, then again could of been BIG brownies? - comments. Hope this bright weather goes and some rain to help the Upper Blackwater.
